There are many men and women who put there lives on the line, and give up the comfort of a life in Australia to provide basic needs to those who would otherwise have nothing.
The efforts and courage of these men and women often go unsupported and unrecognised. Impact (One World) seeks to raise awareness and funds, in order to further the worthwhile impact these people are having on the world.
The fundraising event for 2008 will raise funds to support the work of Steve and Lisa West-Newman, an Australian couple living in Phnom Penh assisting in training Cambodian physiotherapists. Part of the money raised will go towards a Cambodian physio, Chenda, who was trained by Steve and has now received an offer to undergo further study in Singapore.
